FRIENDS - HCRCD 2022
- The 20 most important and
best jazz albums over the years in Norwegian jazz: The
list is now released and among them is: KAPSTAD-JOHANSEN QUARTET
Flight: Hallgeir Pedersen (guitar), Ivar Antonsen (piano), Bjørn Alterhaug (bass) og Roger Johansen (drums).
Four musicians in the top leage started the band Flight. They're playing hard-core modern jazz, but still with their roots in the tradition. The compositions are mainly originals written by the band members. We are so proud of the fact Flight is releasing their album through Ponca Jazz Records.
RELEASE FROM THE DISTRIBUTION FEBRUARY 8th 2010: The singer Liv Stoveland is making her debut as a recording artist. A well trained, beautiful voice in a musical landscape it feels good to be in.

towards the classical genre rather than jazz.

for two Grand pianos played by two of Norway's
great classical concert pianists; Trygve Trædal and Karina Bull-Gjertsen. The result becomes
some sort of a "cross-over"-production.
